Archdeacon Will 1676A #55 Michael will of Daniel Cannell, dated 24 January 1676/7:

K Michaell 1676/7 January 24th 1676/7 The last will & Testamt: of Donell Cannell, who was in perfect memory to our apprehension as followeth: Imprimis he committed his soul to God & his body to Christian buri= all Itm: he left to be spent & bestowed on ye poor & himself yt night he was lodged to ye value of 5 or 6 shillings; Itm: yt there was due unto his son John by ye death of his mother two oxen & two cowes, in lue wherof he left to his said son half his team & one cow besides; It: he also declared to be due to his said son John by ye death of his mother, half ye crop of corne, & in sheep & goates to ye number of eight. Itm: he willed yt his said son John & his wife Margrett Gell should be equall in ye division of ye horses houshold stuffe, & what clothes were daily used on ye bedds except linnen & in the division of all manner of gears that belong to ye working of ye law and equall in the grounds & crop of corne during her continuance in the farme, but when she should be part thence, his wife to leave yt whole crop of corne & her pt of all ye said gears unto his said son John, & this she assented un= to. Itm: he left to his said son John a new blanket, a pair of breetches of russet cloth yt is in ye tuck millne. Itm: he left to his son Hugh & Richard a choice heifer betwixt them, & thereby to be deprived of ye crop of corne. Itm: he left to his two daughtrs. Margret & Ann three bowls of choice corne betwixt them to be paid unto them by his said son John & his Executr: Itm: he left unto his children those sheep & lambs wch in his life time they said children challeng’d as their own. Itm: he declared yt his sister Margret is paid all yt was due unto her, yet left her half a firlet of barley Itm: he left to his said two daughters an ewe apeice. Itm: he left to his son John & his wife ye boat & netts equall betwixt them. Itm: he declared that he was indebted to John Steven eight shillings for teaching his son to be a taylor, of wch he paid him six shillings. Itm: he declared that there was in his hands eight shillings wch was due to ye children of John Steven. Lastly he constituted & appointed his his wife Margrett Gell his lawfull Executr of all ye rest of his goods moveable & unmoveable willing her to sett forth her children according to her abilitie.
