KK Malew The testament of John Cotter who was buried December 27th 1677 He bequeathed to his son Henry his son James Cotter the sellour in Castletowne he payinge to Mr Antho: Halsall three pounds; and bequeathed to his sd son Henry Cotter 2 pairs of sheares wch hee either tooke unknowne to him or too---[torn] away into Ireland wth him, and wished his son Edward to gett home the sheare -----[torn] Dublin or Ireland, Item to his eldest daughter Ann Coter an angle and alsoe to his daughter Dorothie Cotter anaught and alsoe to his daughter Jony xs[10s] Item he sayd that he left a sheepe and a lambe to every one of the children of George Stoale apeece and would leave the mother of them none because she had enough or had given enough alreadie to her; Item he sayd that halfe the fornest and the hott prest was his son Edwards and that Edward should give his mother halfe the pfitt or benifit dureinge her life and after that that himselfe should have all; Item he once left the houses and garden to his in Castletowne to his sonn Edward, but the wife contradictinge he left his wife either the halfe or the pfit or rent of the sd houses and garden to his wife dureinge her life; and haveinge before left the houses and garden of Prestons to his wife sayd that he left the same or the profitt thereof to betwixt his wife and sonn Edward, alsoe he haveinge left legacies afore to his children in Ireland his son Edward moveinge for more to them replyed you will thinke too much to pay it;
