child. Her husband was kindly and so the child's overseers (Mary's family) agreed to leave the daughter with him to raise.

Maughold The last will & testamt: of Will: Callow ballaglasse who departed this life ye 23 of January 1676. Imprs: He committed his soul to God & his body to ye grave. Itm: To his sonne Christoper his part of ye teame his part of ye crop of corne, with his part of all gears & implements belonging to husbandry work. Itm: He asked his wife to give her part of ye teame & crop of corne to his said sone; and she replyed yt she did not intend to goe awaywth it from him. Itm: He bequeathed to his said sone Christophr: one Dozen of those sheep wch came to ye fold, and all his part of ye wild sheep, with one angel in gold. Itm: To his sonne Will: one angel in gold & a silver ring with some silver cheines & hookes, and a precious stone. Itm: To his intended sone in Law Will: Corrin one angel in gold.
