June the 12th 79 This is affirmed to be the last will and testament of Thomas Crellin who departed this life the 12th of June 76, first he bequeathed his soule to God and his body to Christian buriall; It: he left to his wife halfe of a choyse heifer, and two couple of sheep; It: he left to his youngest son halfe a heifer a couple of sheep, It: he left to his daughter Alice one sheep one lambe It: he left to his children foare pound foreteene shilling that was due to them that he did not put into the bookes, and sayd that it was there proper goods, and constituted and ordained his three children viz: John Alice and Henry Crellin his true and lawfull exec fo all his goods moveable and unmoveable note that the above mencioned hefer is left betwixt the wife and his youngest son and the above money was due to the children by the death of there mother Alice Cotiere [sic, Watterson] The wife is sworn in Court testes John Leece John Quirke Probatum et solvit 1s jurati Rich: Crellin & Jo: Crellin are decreed & sworn supvisors of te Execrs: undr age That branch of the above will touching the four pounds 14s wch the Testator sayth he kept out of his formr: wives Inventary, is ob= jected agt, and therfore is referred to be heard at the next Con= sistory to be held at K Xt Leyaire on Thursday next Invent: priced by John Shimmine Robt: Christine Patricke Carrish Pat: Loaney being sworne It: half an oxe halfe a cowe halfe a mayre halfe two colts ...... 2 - 0 - 0 It: seven sheepe two lambs ...................................... 00 - 12 - 0 It: all te houshold stuffe ...................................... 00 - 10 - 0 It: thirtie three shillings in Land depts due from Tho: Crayne foreteene shillings The goods in the Supvisors hands and have given pledges for the forthcoming of the same in form of law Wm Crain & Jo: Woods for Jo: Crellin, & Jo: Quilliam & Tho: Kennaigh for Rich: Crellin Octobr: ye 30th 1679 The Supvisors have deducted 1£ - 11s out of the above Inventary wch summ they affirm is received by the wife, and also to be taken out of ye goods and 1£ - 11s wch is in like maner recovered and to be deducted out of the above moneys mentioned in the will [next page] June the 30th 1679 We whose names are here under subscribed doe hereby certifie whom it may concerne, that Tho: Crellin the daye ----[dark] he maried Bahie Kewley, that Jo: Crellin questioned the said Tho: Before me, what goods is due to the children by the death of there mother, who answered that there was foure pound due to them which was upon record and a cowe and a cowe he gave his brother Richard upon condicon wch he thought that a beast or more would be due to the child ren, and he gave Phillip Kneale a calfe for the halfe, and halfe of that calfe was due to the children of the profitts of the said calfe, and also declared, that this was all that due to them by the death of there mother as witnesse our hands witnesses John Woods } John Crellin} jurati The above depositcons were taken & delivered in Court before us [on a slip of paper:] Octr: 13th 1693 John Crellin & Alice Crellin ye Execrs: of Thomas Crellin their father came this day and acknowledged to be fully satisfied & paid from & at ye hands of ye execr: of Rich: Crellin their uncle, all yt was due to them by the deat of their foresd father Tho: Crellin, and doe therefore acquitt & discharge ye sd Rich: Crellin his execrs: & bondsmen for ever by these presents, as witness their subscriptions ye day & year above wirtten John Crellin his mrk X before me Alice Crellin her mrk X Sam Watleworth Registr: Adde this to his will in ye book 79 [next page] March ye 28th 1687 John & Alice Crellin Executors to ye within Tho: Crellin & Alice Waterson came this day and acknowledged to be truly and fully satisfied & paid all ye part of goods due to them by the death of their said father & mother from & at ye hands of their uncle John Waterson in whose hands their put of goods was & doe accordingly acquitt & discharge his of ye same for ever as witnesse their signes manuall the day & year above written before me John Crellin mrk X Sam: Watleworth Alice Crellin mrk X Register: January 6th 1687 Hen: Crellin one of ye Exrs: to ye within Tho: Crellin & Alice his wife came this day being at age, & received all his part of goods due to him by ye death of his parents which were in ye hands of his uncle John Crellin the other halfe being in ye hands of his uncle Rich: Crellin whereupon ye sd Henry Crellin has acquitted & discharged his sd uncle John Crellin & his pledges for ever, As wit= nesse his signe manuall before me Hen: Crellin’s mrk X Sam: Watleworth Regr:
