Lonan March ye 5th Anno Dominii 1697 These wordes are affirmed to be ye last will & testament of Issable Skillicorn alis Xtian who first committed her soule into ye almighty, & her body unto Xtian buriall, said ffor ye disposing of her goodes in Legaceys She left unto her daughter Margtt: Xtian all ye dwelling houses & croft thereunto belonging being situated in KK Lonan howe likwise unto ye aforesd: Margtt Xtian one choise blankett & a sheet, and a whell, & cards; Itt: unto ye sd daughter Margt: Xtian two sacks & 2 canvases; Itt: in Legacys she left all her cloathes whatever sheapt our unsheaped betwixt her two daughtrs, (i.e.) Margtt & Ann Xtian; Itt: in Legacy unto her son Jon: Xtian five shillings and to be overseer of her youngest child; Itt: 6d Legacy unto all who ever would prsume to claim any right or intereast to any of her goodes; & did further declare upon her death bed that her stepdaughter Issable Xtian als Cowne was paid all her mother's part of goodes before her ffathers death to ye best of her knowledge; And concluding thus did order constitute & apoynt her son & daughter (i.e.) Daniell&Ann Xtian joynt Executrs off all ye rest of her goodes moveable & unmoveable; and In testemony hereoff confess'd the prmises to be her last will & testament ye day & year above written Issable Skillicorn testes als Xtian Jon: Killey hermrkX Jon: Quark Daniell one of ye Exrs and Margrt to whom tuition ye youngest child was bequeathed are sworn in Court in form of Law, probatum est et solvit 10d [written sideways, mostly hiddin in spine:] More over in ------ consideration ------ ------- [next page] KK Lon: May the 30th 1697 A true & perfect Inventory off all & Signurall the goodes off ye wthin deceased, being view’d & priz'd by thes & sworn men yt is to say Jon: ---- Phill: Knakill, Tho: Jeimieson, & Wm Loran--- Imp: So yt ye whole Inventory amounts to ye full sum ..............of 02£ - 14s - 00 likewise there is seven shillings besides ye aforesd sum ---- dim: the cloathes due to ye yongest daughter Ann Xtian and this is ye truth certifyed by } Wm Loranson Sumnr: of ye sd parish this 29th June 1697 The goods of the youngest child in the hands of Margrt according to ye will who hath given pledges for the forthcoming of the same Tho: Brew and Jon: Quark who also are pledges for the rest of ye Exrs: June 22th 1700 ---- 10 Jo: & Dan Xtian being at Lawfull years Jo: Xtian his X doth acknowldge to have received at and from Dan: tian his X the hands of James Brew husband to the above Margt before me (who had the tuition of Anne & her goods) who lately Jon: Curghey dyed) full satisfaction for their proporcon of such Regr goods as became due to them by her Death, and doth acquit & discharge the sd James Brew&the saidMargt his wife
