April ye 3d Anno Dominii 1697 Lonan These wordes are affirmed to be ye last will & testament of Robert Cloag being sick & feeble in body but of perfect memory, did ----[edge] & ordaine this his last will & testamt: in manner following, Imprimis he committed his soule to God & his body unto Xtian buriall; And ----[edge] for ye ordering & disposing of his goodes, he bequeath's in charity to ye poore of ye parish three shillinges. In Legacy to his sister Margtt: Cloage alis Churphey one half crown wch she owed him, bequ----[edge] -ing it to herselfe. To his sister Ann Cloage alis Kewley four shillinges wch was due to him, besides halfe of ye ox yt is in her own custody wch was betwixt ym; In Legacy to his Brother Jon: Cloage of Duglass ten shillinges, To his 2 sons one half crown apiece, & he leaft likwise to his nephew Phinlo Cloage three daughtrs by name Ellinr, Issable & Mary Cloag twenty shillinges apiece to each child. In Legacy to Ministr: a mutton, Itt: to his nephew son by name Phinlo Cloag or any of the children yt would keep up ye place in ye lanne[?], half of all his sheep wth one quartr: of ye team & cropp of corn, so likwise quartr: of all ye husbandry gears proportionably belonging to ye sd farm. Itt: in Leagcy he leaft two of the girles before niminated (i.e.) Ellinor and Issable one heffer betwixt ym both, besides ye particular Legacyes. Itt: six pence Legacy to every penson or persons yt would prsume to claime any little or interest to any of his goodes.
