Episcopal Wills 1774-76 Film Number GL 718
The last Will and Testament of Thomas Cretney of Kk German who departed this life 
upon the 30th day of May 1774, who was sound in mind and memory at the making hereof -

Firstly he committed his soul to Almighty God and his body to Christian burial.

Secondly he left his daughter Margaret Cottier als Cretney the just sum of four pounds. 
To his son John Cretney he left three pounds, to his son Thos. Cretney he left 
twenty shillings over and above what he had before and also to his son-in-law John 
Kewley he left the sum of three pounds.
Thirdly and lastly he nominated and appointed his loving wife Bahee Cretney, als Crellin, 
to be whole and sole executrix of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable 
whatsoever and excluding all others with sixpence legacy.

At a Chapter Court holden at Peeltown June 3rd 1774 the Executor is sworn in Court 
in form of Law and hath given pledges to pay Debts and Legacies.
Probatum Est.


At Kk Patrick 20 August 1774 Thomas Cottier , husband of Margaret Cottier, als Cretney, 
John Cretney, Thomas Cretney  children of the testator and also John Kewley his 
son-in-law have acknowledged to have received of Bahee Cretney als Crellin, the 
relict of the Testator and also the exec. of the within Will the sum or sums of 
money bequeathed to each of them in said Will and do hereby respectively exonerate 
and discharge the said Bahee Cretney als Crellin of every other person of the same.

 Transcribers Note : Bahee Cretney, als Crellin, is Thomas Cretney’s second wife. 
His first was Esther Kelly who died 1759.
