KEWLEY, Ellinor 1780 Braddan A 12 In the name of God Amen. Elliner Kewley als Quayle of Ballarowd? in the parish of Kk Braddan,being sick and weak of body but of sound and perfect memory praised be God do make and ordain this, my last Will and Testament in manner and form following: First I commit my soul into the hands of God and my body to be Christianly and decently buried hoping the merits of Christ Jesus my saviour and redeemer to give a full and free pardon of all my sins, and of a blessed resurrection with the just, and as for what worldly goods hath pleased God to bless me with I do dispose of them as followeth: I leave and bequeath unto my three daughters [An]n [lost in crease], Elliner and Issable one guinney each, and all of my wearing apparall both woolin and linnin that are made equally between them my said three daughters~~~ I leave my Loveing Husband John Kewley the feather bed [lost in crease] hath in use with the clothes thereon~~~ Lastly I do constitute, ordain and appoint my son John Kewley Exor of all the rest of my goods and chattles of what denomination soever for testimony thereof I do hereby set my mark to my name the 9th day of Octobr 1779 Elliner Kewley my mark X I leave to my granson John Quayle a pice(sic) of linnin that is in my chest. Witnesses present John Kewley William Kelley his mark Jurati At a Chapter Court holden in the town of Douglas June 14, 1780 the Execr is sworn in Court in form of law & hath given pledges for the payment of debts & legacies namely the witnesses of the will.
