John Kewley, 1789 #2 Lonan The Last Will and Testamt of John Kewley of the Parish of Kk Lonan who departed this Life on or about the 7th April 1789 being sick and weak at the Making thereof but of a sound Disposing mind and Memory – first committing his Soul to God and his Body to Christian Burial and as to his worldly Goods and Effects he bequeathed them after this manner He left & bequeathed to his Three Children Namely Ann, Ellinor & Jane Twenty shillings a piece but if his wife Elinor Kewley als Killip their Mother will not continue [using ?] his Name or Marry again they are to have six pounds each, and to Receive or be paid the said Legacies Severally at one & Twenty years of age He likewise left a Shilling Legacy to any person or persons that might claim a right to his Effects And lastly He nominated and appointed his loving wife whole and Sole Executrix of all the rest of his Goods & Chattels moveable and immoveable of what kind or nature soever Witnesses thereof William Cowin John Skillicorn Jur At a Chapter Court holden at Beemaghag June 10, 1789 The Executrix is Sworn in Court in form of Law & also Guardian of the Children under age & hath given Pledges for the Payment of Debts and Legacies namely the witnesses of the will Probatum est Thos Cubbon
