BREW, Elinor 1803 Lonan A 2 0106234 2. The last will and testament of Elinor Brew als Cowin of the parish of Kk Lonan who departed this life about the 21st day of April 1803. Being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory at the making thereof First commiting her soul to Almighty God and body to Christian burial and as to her worldly effects she bequeathed them in manner following: First She left and bequeathed to John Brew one half of the little white cow. Item She left and bequeathed Jane Brew all her right and and(sic) title in Doughlas both of the house and yard adjoining sd house. Item She left and bequeathed to her daughter's children namely John Brew, Jane Brew, Ann Brew, Marget Brew and Isable Brew one guianue each. Item She left and bequeathed to Margery Stole one guianue. Item She left one guiane to be distributed between the most needfull of the poor of the parish. Lastly She left and bequeathed her daughter Elinor Brew the wife of Thos Brew whole and sole Executrix of all the rest of her goods moveable and immoveable of what kind and nature soever. Witnesses present John Fargher Jur Wm Kneale Jur At a Chapter Court holden atDouglasKk Patrick June 30 1803 Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness yet as no objection has been offered Thos Brew, husband of the within named Executor is sworn in form of law & hath given Pledges for the payment of debts and legacies namely the Revd John Gell, & John Kinread of Marown Probatum est Thos Cubbon April 26, 1804 Philip Killey entered a claim against the estate of [end of text] I Margery Stole do acknowledge to be fully paid the sum of one guinea a legacy bequeathed me by the last will and testament of Elinor Brew & I do acquit, release, exonerate, discharge the Exor of the last will & testament of Elinor Brew of all demands in and of the same.
