GELLING, Elizabeth 1805 Douglas A 16 0106235 16. In the name of God, Amen I Elizabeth Gelling, wife of the late Charles Gelling hatter of the town of Douglas being weak of body but of perfect mind and memory, calling to mind the mortality of my body, do hereby make and appoint this to be my last Will and Testament. First I give and recommend my soul to god and my body to the earth to be buried in a Christian-like manner. By the directions of my Executor. I leave and bequeath my property or effects to my children in the following manner First I leave and bequeath to my eldest son Jno Gelling one shilling British and to my son William Gelling one shilling British and to my son Robert Gelling the above mentioned sum of one shilling British. I also leave and bequeath to my daughter Jane Gelling one shilling British and likewise to any person or persons that may hereafter claim I leave and bequeath to he of they six pence British. And lastly I leave to my daughter Ruth Gelling the sole of all that I possess to be by her enjoyed and doth ordain her to be my whole and sole executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke and dismantle all and any other former testaments, wills,band legacies in witness whereof I hereunto sett (sic) my hand this 9 day of March 1805 Witnesses present. She was buried 24 Mar 1805 Braddan, a month after her husband.
