The humble petition
of Jane Cowx otherwise
Christian of the town
of Peel
Sheweth
That on the third day of 
February instant, John Cowx
your petitioner's husband departed
this life intestate, leaving him
surviving two daughters namely
Susannah, and Hannah under
age.
That no letters of administration
have been yet granted of the said
deceadent's personal estate.
Wherefore your petitioner
humbly pray's a hearing
of this petition and that
Administration of the goods
and Effects which were
of the said deceadent be 
granted to your petr in
trust in the usual form;
and that she or some other
proper person or persons may
be sworn and appointed
Guardian or Guardians 
of the sd Susannah Cowx
 and Hannah Cowx and 
yr. petr. will pray ____

By virtue of the Revd Vicar Genl Stephen's order
upon the Petition of Jane Cowx 
I have charged John Christian Snr and John 
Christian Junr as Defendents to appere before
his Reverence at an Ecclesiastical Court to be holden
at Kk Marown on Friday next by 10 o clock in 
the forenoon to answer the Petition of Jane
Cowx - this s'd ____ the 1st March 1815

John Cowx late of the town
of Peel in the parish of K
German deceased having departed 
this life sometime on or about
the third of February last, intestate
leaving  ___ Susannah and 
Hannah his daughters under
age, the Court doth desire
them the said Susannah 
Cowx and Hannah Cowx 
co -admins of all and [singular]
the Goods Rights Credits Chattels
and effects moveable and
immoveable whatever of 
their intestate father, and their
mother Jane Cowx is sworn 
for them in trust until they
come of age, faithfully to administer
the said estate, to return a
perfect Inventory, and to
pay all the just Debts of
her intestator so far forth as
goods will extend and the 
Law bind her & to these ends
she hath given pledges in
form of Law, namely Robert
Shimmin and Dan'l ______
both of K German.   De____tum est
