In the Name of God Amen I William Crain of Ballacottier 
in the parish of Braddan being of sound and disposing mind
Memory and understanding do ordain and appoint this for my 
Last Will and Testament in the following manner
First I commit my soul to God and my body unto a Christian 
Burial
I leave and bequeath unto my son and heir William Crain 
the sum of one pound manks
I leave and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Jane Crain Daughter 
of the aforesaid William Crain the sum of one pound manks
I leave and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Elizabeth Crain 
Daughter of the aforesaid Wm Crain the sum of one pound manks
I leave and bequeath to my Grand Daughter Catherine Crain 
Daughter of the aforesaid Will'm Crain the sum of ten shillings manks
I leave and bequeath to my Daughter Jane Kelly als Crain wife 
of Robert Kelly of Marown the sum of three pound British
I leave and bequeath to my grand Daughter Elizabeth Kelly 
Daughter of the aforesaid Robert Kelly the sum of ten pounds British
I leave and bequeath to my grand Daughter Jane Kelly 
Daughter of the aforesaid Robert Kelly the sum of two pounds 
British	-  I leave and bequeath unto the three youngest Grand 
Daughters Robert Kelly aforesaid that are at present in being the 
sum of one pound british each
To any person that may claim any right to my Effects I 
leave two shillings and six pence Legacy
And lastly I Nominate and appoint my son Thomas 
Crain whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and 
Testament and residuary legatee of all the rest of my Goods and 
Effects moveable and immoveable of what name, kind, and 
nature soever, and also reserving my said Executor one year 
after the probate of this will before the aforesaid Legacies can 
be recovered of him hereby making null and void all former 
Will or Wills by me made and appointing this as my last 
Will and Testament in witness thereof I have hereunto 
subscribed my Name this twenty third day of July one thousand 
eight hundred and Twenty two

Thomas Craine in the foregoing will named
 is sworn well and truly to administer 
the Estate and Effects of William Craine 
dec'd to pay all just debts and 
Legacies so far forth as the 
____ will extend and the Law 
bind him and to ____ a true 
and perfect Inventory of the said estate 
into the Episcopal Registry when 
the [execute] lawfully required. And to
these ends Thomas Cain and James 
Gelling both of the parish of Braddan 
have entered into a Bond in the
____ sum of one hundred 
pounds British and for ____  ____
