Administration of Thomas Kewley E1 1833 German To the Vicar General The humble petition of Ellinor Kewley of the parish of German, widow Herewith that Thomas Kewley your petitioners husband some time ago departed this life intestate leaving your petitioner and three children named Ellinor, Jane and John, him surviving. That it is necessary that administration to his estate should be granted to the aforesaid petitioner's estate without delay. Whereupon your petitioner prayer a heavy fine of (??) and that your petitioner may be sworn administrator of the estate of the said Thomas Kewley deceased and she will..... Signed for petitioner Court ordered that the petitioner do come to be heard at an Ecclesiastical Court at Douglas to which all parties have notice. At a Court on 11th October 1833, Ellinor Kewley is sworn well and truly to administer the estate and effects of Thomas Kewley deceased, to pay all his debts and funeral expenses so far as the goods extend and the law binds her to return a true and perfect inventory of the said deceased estate and effects into the Episcopal Registry of their diocese when hereto lawfully required and to these...Thomas Clague and John Kewley have become bound unto the Lord Bishop and his successors in the sum of twenty pounds British.
