In the name of God Amen.
I Benjamin Greggor of the town of Peel Mariner being at the time of the making of this my last will 
and testament of sound mind memory and understanding do in the first place commit my soul to
God and my body to be decently interred by my executrix hereafter named.
Item    I leave, devise and bequeath unto my son Cyrus the dwelling house and premises situate
In Duck Street in the town of Peel wherein I at present reside subject to certain restrictions,
That is to say that he is not to posess the said dwelling house until after the death of his mother
Ann Greggor my wife,and in case he should die without lawful issue before the said Ann Greggor
My wife the said house to be sold and the proceeds divided between my hereinafter mentioned
Daughters in equal sums in the same manner as my other property.
Item.   I leave devise and bequeath to my five daughters namely Sarah wife of Claudius Sale,
Ann Greggor, Mary Greggor , Emily Greggor and Christian Greggor the whole of my shares
In boats,my fishing netts, household furniture,cash, bonds, notes, goods , chattles of all and
Every description moveable and immovable of which I am possessed (accept the said dwelling house)
Or may be possessed at the time of my death to be divided equally, share and share alike and
Should any of the said daughters die before me and my wife dies share is to be equally divided
Between her surviving sisters.
Lastly      I nominate, constitute and appoint the said Ann Greggor my loving and  affectionate
Wife whole and sole executrix of all my real,personal and other effects beforementioned to
Hold, possess and enjoy during the period of her natural life, without the control or interference
Of any person or persons whomsoever, hereby revoking all and every other former will or
Wills made by me and declaring this to be my last will and testament. I have hereunto
Subscribed my name this the Twenty Seventh day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and

The humble petition of Cyrus Greggor of Douglas Street in the town of Peel Carpenter sheweth 
As follows.
1 Benjamin Greggor of Duke Street in the town of Peel and parish of German Mariner father of your 
petitioner departed this life on the 23rd day of November 1896 having first made and published his
Last will and testament bearing date the 27th day of December 1866 whereof he appointed his wife
Ann Greggor sole executrix.
2 The said Ann Greggor predeceased the testator.
3 It is necessary that representation should be set up to the personal estate and effects of the said
Benjamin Greggor. 
Wherefore your petitioner humbly prays for a hearing hereof and that your honour may be pleased
To grant letters of administration with the said will annexed of the personal estate and effects of the
Said Benjamin Greggor deceased to your petitioner or to some other fit and proper person with such 
other and further relief as is met and your petitioner will ever pray etc.

Ordered that this petition do come on to be heard at a Court to be holden at Peel on Friday the
7th day of December 1896 whereof all proper parties and persons are to have due and proper notice
given at Peel this 2nd day of December 1896.

The annexed paper writing dated 27th day of December 1866,having been proved to be the last
Will and testament of Benjamin Greggor late of Duke Street in the town of Peel Mariner who died
On the 23rd day of November 1896 and Ann Greggor the executrix herein named having predeceased
The testator, This court hath granted administration (with the said will annexed) of the personal estate 
And effects of the late Benjamin Greggor deceased to Cyrus Greggor of Douglas Street in the said 
town Carpenter a son of the testator and accordingly he is sworn well and faithfully to administer
The personal estate of the said Benjamin Greggor deceased in terms of the said will and
According to law .

Will of Benjamin Greggor
Know all men by these present that we Cyrus Greggor of Peel Carpenter
Thomas Meyrick of Peel Carpenter and Allen Radcliffe of Peel Blacksmith.
Are jointly and severally and any two of us jointly bound unto our Sovereign Lady the Queen in
The sum of One Hundred pounds to the payment whereof well and truly to be made to our said
Lady the Queen ,her heirs, and successors, we bind and oblige ourselves jointly and severally and any 
two of us jointly, our Executors and Administrators firmly by these present.As witness our
Subscriptions the 7th day of Dec in the year of Our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety six.
The condition of our obligation is such that if the above named Cyrus Greggor the intended 
Administrator of all and singular the personal estate and effects of Benjamin Greggor late of the town 
of Peel but now deceased, who died on or about the 23rd day of November 1896 do when lawfully
Called upon in that behalf make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular
The personal estate and effects of the said deceased which have or shall come into his hands,
Possession or knowledge, or into the hands of any other person for him, and the same so made do
Exhibit, or cause to be exhibited into the proper registry in that behalf whenever required by law
So to do.And the same personal estate and effects and all other the personal estate and effects of the 
said deceased, which shall at any time come into the hands or possession of the said Cyrus Greggor
Do well and truly administer according to law, that is to say,do pay the debts and liabilitied of the
Said deceased and the legacies bequeathed by the said will so far as the said personal estate will extend 
and the law bind the said Cyrus Greggor and do deliver and pay unto the person or persons legally
Entitled thereto all the rest and residue of the said personal estate and effects, then this obligation
To be void and of no effect, or else to remain in full force and virtue.
