Leizayre 1683 The last will and testament of John Quaile, who was buried 28th March First he comitted his soule to God and his body to Christian buriall Item: he left ten shillings to be bestowed upon him at his funerall and two sheep. Item he be----[dark edge] to his son William Quaile all his sheep, and goates that was in the fould, Item to the said William: halfe a cow that was betwixt himself, and ye sd William Item to his sonn Phillip all the wild sheep that he had in the falls, Item to his grand child John Christian three or foure sheep that he had in the sleaue coare, Item he bequeathed to his daughter Joney halfe of a cowe that shee had of his, and the other halfe to his daughter Ann; Item to his two grandchildren William and Ewan Kneen halfe of an other cowe that was in ye keeping of ye foresd Joney and shee and Ann to have ye choyce of both; Item to his sd daughter Joney six shillings that she did owe him, and two blanketts and a fledge, Item he bequeathed one other blanket that was in ye keeping of ye sd Joney to be given to ye poor, viz: the best of the three, Item he bequeathed to Marriad Callister five shillings, Item he bequeathed to his daughter in law Jane Quaile his share of a heifer that was in his sonn Williams own keeping; Item he bequeathed to his sonn in law William Christian ten shillings that was oweing to him from John Curghey of Balnacarick, and the sd William to recover it and take it; Item he delcared that there was oweing to him from Thomas Craine six shillings, Item he declared that for what debts soever in any nature he did owe to any of his daughters that he had fully satisfied them all, soe that they could not lawfully demand any thing now from his Executors Lastly he constituted and appoynted his two sonns William and Phillip Quaile joynt Executors of all the rest of his goods moveable and unmoveable whatsoever witnesse Robert Quaile } The Execrs: at lawfull age are sworn Daniel Kelly } jurati in Court in form of law This will is proved in case of necessity one of ye wittnesses being ready for Ireland Probatum et solvit ffurther he declared to one of the wittnesses abovesd that it was his desire that his daughter Joney should have a part of wooll above what he had before left her he also declared that his daughter Joney had thirteen or fourteen shillings of his to keep and yt he the sd witness should declare the same to his Executors, and that they should get ye same to defray his ffunerall charge witness: Robert Quaile The minister & Clerk affirm that vissitting the above testator some dayes before he dyed, that the Testator de clared he had noe other will to make but wt he had already done The Invry: wthin a month sub paena xs[10s] pledges Robt Quayle & Dan: Quayle [next page] Aprl: ye 5th 1683 Wm Christian in behalf of himself and his brother in law Edm: Kneen entrs his claim agt ye Exers: of his father in law Jon: Quayle for ye sum of Ten pounds or therabouts due to the cl---[fold] ers by the death of his mother in law Katherin Carrett and in the hands of his sd father in law at ye time of his death as will be made to appear and craveth tryal according to law
