German 1684 This is affirmed to be ye last will & Testamt: of Gilbt: Gell who departed this life ye 5th of March 1684 being in perfect emorie at ye making thereof. first he committed his soul to God and his body to Christian buriall. Itm: he left to his wife a young cow four sheep, a new blanket in ye tuck milne & what wooll was in ye house, all ye corne in ye house & ye roofe of ye house. Itm: he left to Hugh Quirks children 3 sheep he had in Lammel to pay ym what was due from him by ye death of their Ant his late wife. Itm: to Capt Stevenson a mutton Itm: to James Stevenson an ewe of 2 years old Itm: to Philip Kneale an ewe of 2 yeares old Itm: to Hen: Kneale a choice coate. Itm: to Robt: Stevenson junr a laughton ewe in Lammell Itm: to Math: Stevenson an ewe of 2 years old. Itm: to his son Henery Gell a young maire, & he to see his funerall charges & church dues paid. Lastly he constituted & appointed his son Henry & daughter Jony Gell his lawfull Executrs: of all ye rest of his goods moveable & un= moveable.
