Archdeacon Will 1684A #048 Braddan will of Thomas Cotch of Douglas, weaver, dated 21 February 1684/5:
Summary: wife is alive [Ann Cowin, died 1701, her will EpW 1701E Braddan], 3 children underage (including a son), sister Mary (dying in Ireland),
father & supervisor Christopher Cotch, witnesses & pledges: Philip Clague & William Kissage.
Braddan parish register: xxxx Cotch buried 22 February 1684/5.
wife: Braddan parish register: Ann Cowin als Cotch buried 24 December 1701	Episcopal Will 1701 Braddan.
NOTE: The surname of Thomas is recorded both as 'Chotch' and 'Choats', suggesting that the surname Cotch
morphed into Coats. However, I believe this is a red herring and Cotch is a separate family from Coats.
