Gilbert Knickle & Philip Brew & Margaret Cotteen, pledges: Hugh Callow & Philip Moore senior.

Lonnan 1686 This is affirmed to be ye Last Will and Testamt: of Christian Cotteen who departed this life ye 28th of March 1686 being in pfect mind and memory as followeth: ffirst she committed her soul into ye hands of Allmighty God & her body to Christian buriall; Itt: she bequeathed to her sister Ellin Cotteen a quarter & halfe of a cow yt shee had between herself and her brother Philip Cotteen; Itt: she left to her sd sister three sheep and a ram yt was in the keeping of her sd brother Philip. Itt: She left to her god-child vizt: daughter to Danold Lowey a hogg Legacye; Itt: She constituted and appoint= =ed her abovesd sister Ellin Cotteen to be her true and Lawfull Executor of all her [goods / things] movable & unmovable wtsoever. And wheras shee had other brothers to whom she left no legacyes because they took no care of her dureing her long visitation being sick three years, and if she had left them 6d Legacye a peece there would be nothing remaining for her sd sister who took care of her all yt while. The Executx: is sworne in Court according to wittness Law, ye parties concerned having consented William Quaile W thereunto, wherupon one witnesse is accepted juratus pbatum est et solvit 10d A true & perfect Inventory of the goods movable & unmovable of the above Christian Cotteen praised by four sworn men viz: Willm Quaile, Philip Kewley, Willm Ffarghar, Willm Corrin which doth amount to the sume of ................. 00£ - 11s - 0sd Noate yt the legacyes above left were ye goods yt were given in the Inventory Pledges according to Law Philip Kewley & Willm: Quaile
