Patrick This is affirmed to be ye last will & testamt: of Donold Cottiman who departed this life ye 27th of Januarie 1685/, being in perfect memory first he committed his soul to God & his body to Christian buriall It: he left to his sister Margrett 2s 6d, It: he left to his godson Donoll Cowle a sheep; It: he left to his wife quarter of a heifer & a peice of plading in ye tuck mill; It: he constituted the child on his wifes bearing if it lived to lawfull years his true Executr: of all ye rest of his goods move able & unmoveable, but if it died before yt time & yt ye mother could be at any considerable trouble or charge in the few years bringing it up then she was to have half of what was due to ye child, & his sister Margt: aforesd: a quarter & then ye other quarter to be betwit his said sister Margart: Kathrine & Ann & Philip his brother & sisters; but if ye child died presently after its being borne, then his wife to have only a quarter of the childs goods, a quarter to his sister Margt: & ye rest betwixt ye said Margt her brother & sisters aforesaid, and he left ye child & its goods to ye tuition of ye mother The mother & Philip Cottiman are sworne Testes: Don: Lace } Supervisors in Court according to Law Oates Cowle} jurati pbatum est et solvit 12d The Suprvisors are to appeare next court to be sworn after ye deliverie of ye wife sub paena 10s, ad usum Domini: The Inventorie before midSumr: day sub paena 5s The goods in ye mothers hands who hath given pledges according to Law Phil Quilliam & Tho: Kelley Tho: Kelley is drawn & Jo: Quirk junr: of ballavagher is in his stead The Inventory of Donold Cottimans goods taken by 4 sworne men amounts in grosse to ............. 2£ - 11s - 00d This is all debtlesse June 16th 1712 Margrett Cottiman ye only Child of ye above testator hath this day acknowledged yt she is fully paid & satisfied from & at ye hands of her stepfather Giles Bridson whatever was due to her by ye death of her father & doth acquitt him & ye Exrs: of her mother of ye same forever before me Margt: Cottiman X mrk Sam: Watleworth
