   Ewan & wife Margaret have a corn miln; NOTE: Ewan Corlett & Elizabeth Sayle are cousins.

      Christian Knickle married Thomas Cashen in 1740 Lezayre.

Leizayre 1687 The last will and testament of William Knickell who departed this ----[edge] the 5th of June as followeth: ffirst he committed his soule to God and his bodie to Christian buriall; Item ----[edge] bequeathed to his sonn John all his Lands with ye crop & all ye geares thereunto belonging also ye miln with its geares or apurtenances. Item he bequeathed that his sd son John shall give uto William and Christian a ferlett of barley apeice, Item he bequeathed unto his wife his gray horse. Item he bequeathed his son in law Ewan Carrett [sic] all ye horses that was betwixt them (except one ----[edge] coult) in leiw of what was coming to him of his porcon, Item he bequeathed unto his son in law William Saile two horses and a maire in leiw of what was due to him of his porcon. Item he acknowledged that he did owe unto ----[edge] Kermeine 15s for ye satisfaction of which he bequeathed to him a steare and ----- as a pawne till ye sd money be paid Item he bequeathed to his daughter Christian his part of ye houshould goods and ten shillings worth of sheep; Item he bequeathed that his son John shall ----[edge] =taine his son William with diett untill ye sd Willm have done with his master and ye sd Wm to make his own cloathe Item he bequeathed to his grandchildren viz: Ewan Curlets children a lamb apiece. Item he bequeathe to his grandchild Wm Sailes child an ewe lamb. Item he bequeathed that there was due to him from Gibt: Calie 2s; Item due to him from Ewan Curghie 1s 6d. Item from ----[edge] Ffaile 1s 6d. Item from John Cricett 1s; Item he bequeathed to ye witness= =es of this will 6d apeece. Lastly he constituted and appointed his two children William and Christian joynt Executors of all ye rest of his goods moveable & unmoveable The Exrs: at age one sworn witnesses Robert Kneale} in Court according to Law William Kneale} jurati pbatum est et solvit 1s The whole Inventorie of ye above Willm Knichall priced by sworne men vizt: Willm: Kneale, Ewan Curlett, Willm: Gill and Edmond Crow The whole Inventorie priced somes to ye sum of .............. 07£ - 19s - 00d The goods in ye Exrs: hands who hath given pledges Ewan Corlett & Wm Saile ye sd Ewan Curlet & Wm Saile have acknowledged yt they were paid their portion & legasies
