Archdeacon Will 1688A #15 Andreas will of John Kneale of Ballavarry & of Ballacross (inherited from his mother, B'varry & B'cross abutt each other), 
died about early 1688:

Andreas In the name of God Amen, I John Kneal sick in body but whole in mind & of pfect memory praised be God, doe make my Last will & Testamt: in manner following. ffirst I comend my soul unto ye hands of Almighty God my Creator & Redeemer & my body to Xtian buriall. Itm: I leave to ye poor a boul of corn wn: my Heirs can well pay ye same; Itm: to my eldest son my pt: of ye whole crop & my pt od the husbandry gears belonging to ye land wth in & without. Itm: to my sd son three beast of the Team my rideing hors, sadle & bridle, Itm: to my sd son a Tree cutt in ye garden to make him some chairs, a great board in the cattle house to make him a table and wt house timber lyes about ye house, and a pun of a seast in the oxe house, my pt of a great keeve, and the cupport wch I found in the house, & leave it accordingly & the bedsteeds in the loft in like maner and one of ye bedsteeds in ye spence and wher as my mothe left me her pt of Ballacross as Heirsp, I leave the same to my sd son in like maner, & my pt of ye bed spitt & trippetts; Itm: I leave to my son Patr the Croft called Camaishe's croft pvided that if he have noe Issue to enjoy the same that he is not to sett or sell the same but to return to ye farm and whosoever is to enjoy the sd Croft is to pay Jon: Crenell xs[10s] which he hath there ----- mortgage; Itm: I leave my daughter Ellin a sheep & one Lamb for such things as she has lent me not of Castletown; Itm: I leave upon my eldest son Philip to pay wtever is due to my sisters son John Kinry, and in leiw of ye rideing hors & other things left to him ---ad if my wife be not willing to lett him have her pt of the horse that then he is to pay her 8s for her pt herof & then she to pay the half of wt is due to ye sd Jon: Kinry. Itm: to my son Philip an old hoggshead upon ye Loft & a choice barrell; Itm: I enjoyn & require my son Jon: to stay wth his brother Philip four years, and then Philip to give him a heffer of 4 years old besides meat & cloathing, & lastly I constitute my seven children Ellin, Jon, Hary, Jony, Willm: , Patrick Robin [?] joynt execrs: of ye rest of my goods moveable & imoveable, & --- Nelly & Harry think it more for their advantage, I leave them ---s betwixt them besides their mothers goods, & soe to be discharged --- the execsp: Itm: to my eldest son my pt of ye boat & netts & my ---- & best apparell, and to my wife my pt of the Heiffer betwixt me & ---- C---ell; Itm: to ye Parson 1s, & to my 2 brors: 6d apeice Jo: Kneal [next page] Codicell additur in his verbis Jon: Kneal & Willm: Kneal two of the wittnesses to the wthin will, declare that some dayes after the signing of the wthin will the Testator declared that wheras he had passed over a parcell of Land to Parson Christian in Leiw of certain debts due to him for tythes & other things, that therfore his wife in considracon of her part of the sd debts should give ---[fold] leave the Heir her part of all the husbandry gears and all other things left him & mentioned in the within will, exceptin her pt of the cropp Team & boats & netts, she having the use of them dureing her staying in the farm , repairing her pt of them in like maner, to wch if she did not assent that then she was to pay her part of the sd debt to the parson, allso that he left to his eldest son the craddle and willed also that if the prsent Heir dyed wthout Issue that all those things left & bequeathed to him shud descend to ye next Heir that enjoyed ye estate.
