The last will and testament of William 
Carrett of the parish of KK Christ Leare 
who departed this life the 6 of January 
in the yeare of our lord God 1688
first hee comendeth his soule to the almighty 
God and his body the Christian buryall 
first hee maketh his daughter Maryad 
his whole Executor of all his goods 
moveable and unmoveabell intack and 
quarter land 
Item hee leaveth halfe a hefer to his 
grandchild Edmond Quark 
Item he leaveth to his sister Margret Carrett 
in Ramsey the fourth part of the intack while
she liveth and to returne to the said ex
cutor after the saide Margret dissease 
Item and hee did send to his grandchild 
Ewan Garrett and his wife to come to see 
him in his great neede in his sickness 
to come to looke to him and they refused
Item he gave John Carrett nalargy twelve 
pound in his life time and he never 
got any of it and now that hee 
was poore and nothing to maintane him he 
desired John Carrett Executors to come and 
to give him eight shillings A peece and 
if not hee left eight pound upon them that 
was forty shilling the peece 
Item he left upon Ewan Steven to pay to his ex  4s
