KK Christ Lezayre May ye 7th 1700 This is affirmed to be ye last will and Testament of John Curghey of Colebane who departed this life ye 7th of ffebr: last as followeth &c: ffirst he bequeathed to ye poore of ye parish of boule of meale to be given to taken on St Thomas day next, Item he nominated and appointed his loving wife sole Executrix of all his goods moveable, and immoveable what soever and shee to dispose of ye same to his children as shee thought fitt, and bequeathed to his son John twelve pence legasie if he would not be kind, and dutifull to his mother, and to ye other children as the law did provide, which they suppose to be 6d apeece legasie in regard theytould him that he must leave them some legasie, he replied you know what ye law provides in that case witnesses: Thomas Christian} The Execrx: sworn in Court Ewan Curghey ......} jurati in form of Law Probatum est et solvit 1s Pledges to secure the office & pay all Debts & Legacies according to Law Ewan Curghey and Will: Caly [next page, on the back of the above:] 10th Febr: 1700 John Curlet Cleanaugh enters his claim agt the Exrs of John Curghey Coolbane for wheat tack[?] corn for severall years vizt: from 1688 till ye year 1695, which corn is due to the claimer and partners as will be made to appear 10th febr: 1700 The said John Curlet enters agt the Exrs: of Dan: Moor for 6d 24th May 1701 Patrick Bodach enters his claim agt the Exrs: of John Curghey for the summe of 10£ for which he has a parcell of Intack in Mortgage: and also for the summe of 3£ 14s due a appears by specialty, and the summe of 30s more for which he has no Bill, for which with the interest therof he will make to appear to be due and craves ye Law
