Kirk Arbory John Kinvigg Sr. 1781 In the Name of God Amen This is affirmed to be the Last Will and Testament of John Kinvig, Senr of Ballanagreaney who being sick and weak in body but in perfect Mind and Memory at making the same First I commit my soul to God and my body to Christian Burial Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Margaret Kinvig Three pounds of the Morgage money that Willm Comish has and also my part of the Sheep that is between me and John Kisage Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Joney Coole - thirty shillings Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Catherine Coole thirty shillings Item I leave and bequeath unto my Daughter Margert Coole Alias Kinvig forty shillings and two sheep Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Grandaughter Joney Gawne forty shillings Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Granddaughter Jane Gawne Three pounds Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Daughter Joney Gawne alias Kinvig fifty shillings and two sheep Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Son Richard Kinvig twenty shillings Item I Leave and bequeath unto my Son William Kinvig twenty shillings and whatsoever he has in his own hands Item I Leave and bequeath to all the rest of my Children vizt John Kinvig, Thomas Kinvig, Ann Shimin alias Kinvig, Jane Taylor alias Kinvig, Elinor Taylor alias Kinvig One Shilling each legacy [Next page] Item I Leave and bequeath to my Son in Law John Gawne my blue coat and blue waistcoat and blue breeches Item I Leave and bequeath to the poor of the parish twelve shillings And Lastly I Nominate ordain and appoint my Loving Wife Catharine Kinvig alias Quayle Sole Executor of all the rest of my Goods Movable and Immovable of what kind or Nature Soever In Witness whereof I have hereunto sett My name and mark this the 20th day of April 1781 Signed by the Testator In presence of us John Kinvig my X Cesar Kelly my X ) Jurati John Costean ) At a Chapter Court holder at St. Marks Chappel June 20th 1781 The Executrix is sworn in Court in form of Law and hath given Pledges for the payment of Debts and Legacies namely the Witnesses of the Will Probatum est Solvit Chas. Kinvigg and Patrick Cooile Husband of Margaret Cooile als Kinvigg - three of the Legatees in the before written Will named - Do hereby acknowledge to have received and be fully pd. and satisfied all and singular the Legacies in and by the said Will bequeathed [Next page] unto us severally and respectively - and we Thos. Kinvigg and Patrick Cooile Husband of Margaret Cooil in right Of my said wife Do hereby severally and respectively Exonerate Acquit and Discharge the Exor of the said Will and all & every person & persons of & from the same & every part thereof As Witness our hands this Day Month & Year aforesd. Reg. my mark X Patrick Cooile my mark X At Douglas 27th November 1781 I John Gawn one of the Legatees beforenamed Do hereby Acknowledge to have received from the Exix of the beforewritten Will all & singular the Cash and other Effects which were Bequeathed unto me, to my Wife, Joney Gawne als. Kinvigg, And to my two Daughters Joney and Jane Gawn, in & by the sd. Will and that be an Order of the Revd. Vicar Genl. Clucas Dated 10th Novr. 1781. The Cash amounting to seven pounds ten Shillings with two Sheep and a blue coat, blue waistcoat & blue Breeches. And I Patrick Cooile Do likewise acknowledge to Have recd. from the said Exeor. By virtue of an Order from the sd Vicar Genl. The sum of three pounds being the Legacies left unto my Two Daurs Joney & Cath Cooile in & by the said Will Viz. £1.10s each. And we the said John Gawn & Patrick Cooile do hereby severally & respectively Acquit, Exonerate & Discharge [next page] Cath.
