The last will and testament of Robert Woods of the parish of Rushen being of sound mind & perfect memory at mak= =ing the same this 22nd Day of February 1798 First He committed his soul to God & His Body to Christian Burial Rushen Secondly He left unto the Poor of the Parish of ^ Twilve Kishen of Barley Thirdly He lefthis share ofunto his Daughter Joney wife of Henry Gawn of Rushen the Sum of Two Pounds & nine Shillings Fourthly He left unto his Daughter Margaret wife of Charles Preston of Malew Two Sheep Fifthly He left unto Catharine & Margaret Gawn Daughters of Henry Gawn aforsd one Sheep apiece Bed & Sixthly He left unto his Loving wife his Share of the ? Bedclothes Seventhly He left unto his son John Woods Two Sheep Eightly & lastly He left and appointed His son Richard Woods whole and sole Executor of all the rest of his Goods and Effects of what or nature whatever Debarring & Excluding Everyother Person or Persons with sixpence legacy who shall sue to the contrary hereof Witness present Thomas Cannell John Kelly Jnr At a Chapter Court holden at Castletown June 18ty 1801 Notwithstanding this will is proved but by one witness yet as no objection has been offered the Execr is sworn in Court in form of Law & hath given Pledges for the payment of Debts & Legacies namely John Kelly the Witness & Henry Corkish both of Rushen Probatum est.
