The humble petition of Jane Kissack of the Town of Douglas, Widow.
Thereth
That your petitioner's husband John Kissack late of the said town of Douglas, Baker, departed this life on the 28th day of October intestate.
That petitioner is desirous of obtaining administration of the Estate and Effects of the said John Kissack deceased.
Therefore petitioner prays a hearing thereof and that your Worship may be pleased to grant -

Ordered that the petitioner do come on to be heard at an Ecclesiastical Court to be held at Douglas on Thursday the 28th of November 1878 at 10 o'clock 
in the forenoon, Whereof all proper parties and persons are to have due and lawful notice.

At Ecclesiastical court held at Douglas on the 28th day of November 1878, Upon hearing this petition in the presence of the parties or their advocates, and It 
being proved that John Kissack, Late of Douglas in the parish of Braddan on or about the 28th day of October 1878, departed this life Intestate. This court hath 
decreed Jane Kissack, Widow, the [widow] of the said deceased Administrator of All and Singular the personal Estate and Effects of said deceased , and accordingly 
she is [-----] well and truly to administer the said Estate and Effects of the said deceased by paying his just debts and funeral expenses as far forth as the said 
Estate and Effects will extend and and the Law [-----] her and distributing the residue thereof according to Law, and to return to the Episcopal Registry of this 
Diocese a full, true, and perfect Inventory, with an accurate amount of her administration thereof when thereunto lawfully required, and to these shall she [---- 
---] Pledges, namely, Walter Johnson, Douglas in the parish of Braddan and David Pollack Cuthbertson of Douglas in the parish of Braddan,who have entered into and 
executed the usual Bond in the presence of the Court.

Whereas, the Ecclesiastical Court of this Isle and Diocese of Sodor and Mann hath this day granted Setters of Administration of the personal estate of John Kissack 
late of Douglas in the Parish of Braddan deceased, to Jane Kissack, his Widow. And Whereas, Walter Johnson of Douglas in the parish of Braddan and David Pollack 
Cuthbertson of Douglas in the parish of Braddan have agreed to become pledges for the due and faithful Administration of the said Estate by the said Jane Kissack 
according to Law.
Now, know all men by these presents that we, the said Walter Johnson and David Pollack Cuthbertson hereby bind and oblige our-selves, jointly and severally, and 
our Heirs, Executors, and administrators, firmly by these presents as pledge for the said Jane Kissack that we shall well truly administer, all and singular, the 
Personal Estate and Effects of the deceased, according to Law. And in our default we bind ourselves, and each of us, our Heirs, Executors, and Administrator, to 
be answerable and responsible for the whole to the said court, and to all parties interested in the said estate and effects, or the administration thereof, in the 
place and stead of said Jane Kissack.
Witness our Subscriptions, this 28th day of November in the year of our lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy eight.
At an Ecclesiastical Court, held at Douglas on the 28th day of November 1878, The foregoing bond and obligation was duly signed and delivered and also acknowledged 
by the executing parties to be their proper Act and Deed. Before me, (signed)
