William Boyde Ballaugh 1889 4 This is the Last Will and Testament of one William Boyde of Carmodyl Beg in the Parish of Ballaugh Nailor which I make publish and declare in formand manner following - 1, I leave and bequeath to John Kinley son of my niece Jane Craine wife of Robert Craine the sum of five pounds Legacy. 2, I leave and bequeath to my brother- in-Law James Lace the sum of five pounds Legacy 3, I leave and bequeath to the children of my Late Brother John the sum of Fifteen pounds to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike. 4, I leave and bequeath to the children of my late brother James the sum of fifteen pounds to be equally divided amongst then share and share alike. 5, I leave and bequeath to my sister Isabella the sum of fifteen pounds provided she be then living and if not then living the said sum of fifteen pounds to be equally divided amongst her children share and share alike. 6, I leave and bequeath to my late sister Ann Lace's children the sum of fifteen pounds to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike. Lastly, I leave and bequeath to my niece Jane Craine wife of Robert Craine the rest and remainder of my Goods, Chattles, Cash, Credits and effects of whatever kind nature or description whatsoever or wherever and I further nominate constitute ordain and appoint the said Jane Craine my whole and sole executrix and residuary Legatee in Testimony whereof I hereunto subscribed my name or mark to my name this the Twenty-first day of March One Thousand Eight Hundred and eighty-seven 1887. Signed by the said Testator ) in our presence who at his ) William Boyde request, in his presence of each) other has hereunto subscribed ) our names as witnesses ) ) Robert Kaighin ) W Teare ) [New page] In Her Majesty's High Court of Justice of the Isle of Man Common Law Division Testamentary Jurisdiction At a District Probate Session holden at Peel on the 13 May 1899 The annexed paper writing dated the 21st day of march 1887 having been proved to be the last will and Testament of William Boyde late of Carmodil Beg in the parish of Ballaugh Nailor deceased who died on the 11th Day of February 1889 Robert Craine (husband of Jane Craine) of Carmodil Beg aforesaid a niece of the Testator the Executrix herein named in right of his siad wife is sworn well and truly to fufil and execute the same and to administer the personal Estate of the said deceased according to Law. [illegible signature] a Judge of the Said Court [new page] Whereas William Boyde of Carmodyl beg in the Parish of Ballaugh nailr did by the last Will and Testament date 21st day of March 1887 Leave and bequeath to John Kinley son of his niece Jane Craine wife of Robert Craine The sum of Five Pounds as legacy. And a further sum of Five Pounds to his Brother in Law James Lace as legacy. And whereas probate of the said Last Will and Testament of the said William Boyde was at a Court of Probate Sessions held at Pell on the 13th Day of May 1889 duly granted to Robert Craine of the said Parish of Ballaugh in right of his wife Jane Craine the Executrix named therein. And whence the said Robert Craine has this day paid the full amount of the said Legacy of Five pounds each to the said John Kinley and the said James Lace. Now know all men by these presents that the said John Kinley and the said James Lace do hereby own and acknowledge the have received from Robert Craine executor of William Boyde of Carmodyl beg in the Parish of Ballaugh nailor the full sum of Five pounds Each being the amount of the Legacy severally bequeathed to as under the Last Will and Testament of the said William Boyde dated the 21st day of March 1887 as aforesaid and we severally herby direct that the same be and stand Cancelled upon Record In Witness whereof we the said John Kinley son of Jane Craine the niece of the said William [New page] Boyde and the said James Lace the Brother -in-Law of the said William Boyde Have hereunto subscribed our names or marks to our names This the Fourth day of December One Thousand Eight Hundred and Eighty- -nine 1889.
