• WILL / Probate / Legacy: A 27 0106214, 1732, Rushen Parish IOM. See Lawsons - Thomas Kermod senior of Surby in the parish of KK Christ Rushen, who departed this life in March 1731, being of perfect mind and memory, made his last will in presence of the subscribing witnesses of April 23, 1730. Item, he left to the poor of the parish 3 shillings. Item, to Catharin Read and her daughter Marjery 5 shillings equally betwixt them. Item, he forgave his daughter Isabel Gawn als Kermod of the Rouany forty shillings he lent her, and also bequeathed her 20 shillings more for a legacy. Left to said daughter's four children 20 shillings equally betwixt them. Left his said daughter his part of the bees they had betwixt them. Bequeathed to his son Thomas's 3 children 20 shillings apiece. Lastly, he nominated and appointed his son Thomas Kermod whole and sole Executor of all the rest of his goods moveable and immoveable whatsoever. Witnesses: Paul Crebbin, John Garret.
