Brews who served in the Australian Army during World War I

Back to One Name Study Index

The following information has been obtained from the National Archives of Australia and is a list of the Brews who served overseas in the Australian Army during World War 1. Where located, a link has been provided to each man's service record, where held by the Archives. Copies are available for ca. AUD$15.00. The Archives website is at http://www.naa.gov.au, their e-mail address is archives@naa.gov.au and their postal address is PO Box 7425, Canberra Mail Centre, ACT, Australia, 2600. The telephone number is +41-2-6212-3600, and the fax number: +41-2-6212-3699.

It has been complemented by data provided by the Australian War Memorial's Nominal Roll, which is a roll of all Australian servicemen and women who served in World War I. It generally lists a person’s number, rank, surname, forenames, unit, date of enlistment, fate, be it a return to Australia (“R.T.A.”) or death (“K.I.A.” or “D. of W.”), and date thereof [This is not necessarily a date of discharge]. The roll is also available online through their website, which provides a search engine.

Information is also available on this site for Brews amongst
